An Expanding Market for Halal Certified Foods

Europe has been figuring prominently in KQF’s recent activities. As a result of attending trade exhibitions, forging new alliances and agreeing new supply deals over the course of the last year, we have found many more British customers for our range of halal-certified burgers, sausages and other convenience foods. Interestingly, however, there also seems to be a marked increase in demand within European countries for foods with proven halal credentials.

Charity Trek to Everest

By KQF managing director, Faruk Vali.

As regular visitors to this blog will know, I recently set out on a charity fund-raising trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in order to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice. I made the journey with three friends: Rafiq Ahmed, Ilyas Karbhari and Sufyan Dadabhai. We had previously travelled to Mecca in 2012 and felt that the time was right to travel somewhere that presented a new challenge.

Rafiq and Sufyan had previously climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and we quickly warmed to the idea of tackling a big mountain challenge.  Mountains obviously don’t come any bigger than Everest, so that was the unanimous choice. We began training in the autumn of 2013 and set out in March.

Our Latest Product – Tandoori Halal Kebabs

April 15, 2014 at 2:34 pm

Here at KQF we are committed to continually improving on the products we provide and to expanding the range of halal foods we offer. The latest product to hit the shelves is our ready cooked tandoori kebabs. Our Classic range already includes halal kebabs made from beef, chicken and lamb but this latest addition to the range is charcoal-cooked to deliver a great tandoori flavour and it’s available in either lamb or spicy chicken.
